For nearly 90 years, our vineyard has had the privilege of overlooking the pristine Andes Mountains. The soil consists of rock, clay, sand and silt which provide maximum drainage. The vineyard is in compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and is working to obtain certification from ISCAMEN.
Great wines start in the vineyard. It is with that sentiment that we harvested our Malbec to create a truly exceptional wine. To avoid unnecessary stress, the grapes were harvest in the early morning the first week of April to avoid the intense afternoon heat. During the fermentation process, intense color and tannins were extracted from extended maceration on the skins. To balance these intense tannins and the natural fruit flavors of berry and spice, the wine was aged in neutral American oak barrels to enhance the flavors and create a decadent complexity.
Food Pairing Notes
This wines complexity and structure make it the perfect pairing for grilled meats, lamb, game and cheeses of all kinds.
